Well.. That's the developers' beta. The "real" beta isn't coming for some time.

actually, they're letting external players hardware test the game and they intend to keep inviting other players as time passes.

As i see it, the most important thing is that beta has started, things are moving. Even if i dont get in i dont care, only few more months.

I am currently running a 3.2 p4, 6800 GT, and 1.5 or 2 gigs ram (cant remember on this one)

My PC is currently a Athlon64 @ 2.2 GHz, 1GB RAM, GeForce 8500GT. So well. It's a little mixed.
My laptop got a better CPU which is kinda ironic :P

I believe they said they wanted to take a wide amount of different machines, not only the best ones.

Besides, what would they benefit from if they tested it on the best machines. It'll work there for sure.

There could always be bugs for certain gfx cards and such.
For instance, my mate got a 9800GX2 and some cards can't handle it :P
It's practically too good ^^
