Im running an overclocked nVidia 7900 512mb card atm. I think. Cant even remember.

All I want is like 15 - 20 more frames per second.

When SLI'ing graphics cards, do the cards need to be the exact same?

Not that SLI works in DF :(

yeh cards need to be identical or they will default to the slowest one, but best bet would be to get a 9 series instead :p

Im running an 768mb 8800 GTX and my fps isn't great, if anyone has any cheapish recommendations on getting a few more fps that would be sweet.

Is that an nVidia card yeah?

I'd imagine that would be considerably different than mine.
What FPS do you get and are you talking about just general play or only in sieges.

I only have trouble once there is a lot of action going on. Its only like 15 more fps I need to get it playable. Fraps seems to give a constant 75 fps normally. It never goes over that so I dunno if it is actually higher and fraps aint showing or if its the current maximum for the game or my card or something. (I can get 3 times that in CS lol)

I'm running windows XP though, so I wonder if your Vista is lowering it a bit, and I've also noticed considerable FPS drop while having Xfire running.

Yep Nvidia, not overclocked either.

Running 32bit Vista, and considering another 8800 gtx to run alongside the current one but not sure whether it'll be worth the £200 or so. My fps is great during normal action, but a siege type scenario is just painful.

Any tech pros wana give me some feedback? I won't spend the cash unless someone pretty much guarantees its going to be 110% worth it =p

Yeh I'm considering it for when they are. This card isn't bad but it really doesn't have the performance I'd like during sieging.

instead of another 8800gtx go fo the 9800gtx mate picked one up for about 120 quid is an excellent card and would be worth buying another to sli it up, but if u have the cash go for a 280 GTX or something

the 280GTX is a bit pricey, I only play quite casually so I'll make do with what I have right now (unless it starts causing me massive headaches during raids).

Well if you'd like to consider ATI, the HD 4850 and HD 4870 are pretty decent.

But if you do go Nvidia, 9800 or 9600 is way better than what you're packing atm. Imo, a cheapish solution would be a 9600, if all you want is a small fps gain.

Sup with you guys?

I have a GTX260 core 216 and with everything on max but shadows off i get 200fps but as soon as more than 10 people are on screen in drops to 100fps

Even in sieging i can get screen lag even though my fps is reading 80fps i say darkfall it self is just laggy no matter how good your computer is
