Nice config Baal :) I got exactly the same specs, except i got an ATI Radeon 4850. Vista 64-bit.

I still can't believe how you even want to run Vista :P
You'll probably moan about RAM, but I just looked it up. XP x64 handles 4GB, so in yar face ;P
You won't need more than like 2GB for some year anyway.

Not everybody wants to use Linux, since - even you have to admit it - for a "normal" user linux is just too hard to maintain.

Getting everything to work on Linux is a PITA for the first time :P

Well.. Ubuntu is a good distribution for ehm... n00bs.
Many graphical installers for you who can't handle a command line ;)

And well, I am a Linux user by heart, but I do use XP x64 for my gaming needs.

I used to have both Linux and Winblows installed, but since I do play some games every now and then, I decided to drop Linux..

And I kept on getting these odd problems with Linux which - at the time - I didn't have the enthusiasm to solve..

Maybe I'll return to Linux soon enough ;)
